Kids Developmental Care Center uses the Read It Once Again literacy preschool curriculum. Read It Once Again is an early childhood comprehensive curriculum that uses familiar children’s books that promotes and establishes an early literacy-based foundation for the development of basic skills for children to be successful in Kindergarten. The Read It Once Again curriculum is equally effective in traditional preschool settings but has components that were created for children with developmental delays, speech and language delays, and autism.

The Read It Once Again literacy preschool curriculum is tailored to meet the individual needs of each child. Read It Once Again consists of Level 1 and Level 2 units. Level 1 units include instruction on the most basic foundational skills such as; speech and language, gross motor, fine motor, daily living, socialization, and cognitive. Read It Once Again Level 2 units concentrate on higher level foundational skills such as; phonemic awareness, math, science, creative writing, and social studies. A curriculum based assessment will be used to assess the child’s progress and identify when children are ready for Read It Once Again Level 2 units.

Kids Developmental Care Center emphasizes on reinforcing basic foundational skills to prepare students for future mainstream inclusion. Special accommodations will be made to meet your child’s individual needs.
